Me too! I'm really bad at make-up because I rarely wear it, but I lovely seeing some of the fab things people come up with. I do love doing nail art though. These aren't my current nails (because they have chipped) but I did these last week:

Ooh, wasn't sure if we were going to post pictures of nails! I love doing nail art too, I'm always trying something new, and I'm really proud of my current ones! Most of my designs are inspired in part by cutepolish on Youtube. Attachments:

Sorry about the double photo, I can't seem to get rid of the attachment! Maybe we should have a separate nail thread? I've just re-done mine but they're not terribly exciting; red with a silver star. I'm in bed so I can't get a photo. Yours are so pretty! How do you do the detail? I only ever use the brush that comes with the polish. Some of my designs I steal, others like my current are just things I like. =] I will have to check out that channel! These are some of my previous ones: chinquary.deviantart.com/gallery/36792807

Wow, Plethorian & Shadow -- you guys do some awesome nail art! Can I ask what products you guys use to do them? Are you guys so talented that you can make designs like that with just your paintbrushes? I am kind of a nail newbie --I bite my nails pretty badly and have since I was ten years old (I just passed my Unhappy 10-Year Nail Biting Anniversary, actually ), so I never really learned how to do cool stuff like that! Hopefully in a few months my natural nails will be healthy, so maybe I can practice too. I've tried wearing mittens or gloves (around the house only... kinda weird to explain in classes or work) and using bad-tasting polish, but it's never incentive enough to stop biting. lol. Because I just passed the decade mark for biting, I decided to splurge on acrylic nails, and I'm going to maintain them for a few months before going to gel nails and then I'll try my own, and hopefully they will be grown out by this point and strong/healthy enough to survive without acrylics or gel polish! The color in my photo is called Hollywood Blonde by OPI --I am totally in love with this color! I have been looking for a neutral color that is not plain white or tan for a while now, and I think this shade is really cute. It's kinda like the color of sand with just a little shimmer to make it cute and girly. Attachments:

Here's today's nails! Yes I just use the brush which comes with the bottle. I think I just have a steady hand because I also do glass painting. =\

Both of your nails look great. =] I never paint my nails because I'm too lazy, haha.

Hey, nothing wrong with just using the brush it comes with. That's what I do too, except that I was given some tinier nail polishes, stripers, for christmas which are lovely. Basically just half the size and with a tiiiiiny brush. They work super well for small thin lines and detail work. Plus a toothpick works for spots! Just use your imagination and your nails can be a canvas. I love it!

I just use the brush the polishes come with, and I use tutorials on youtube that show me how to do it step by step, because some of them can be tough. But yeah, if you just have patience and some imagination with how to do more detailed work, then it's easy! And don't worry, my nails are super short too. I have terrible circulation in my hands and feet so they barely grow before they start to get brittle and break. I've actually found that taking a one-a-day women's multi vitamin helps a ton, though, because it makes them grow faster and stronger! So I get to paint nicer things on them and feel pretty. @u@ I recommend doing that for sure, maybe having nice looking natural nails that grow quickly will be an extra reason not to bite! Hope you can overcome it! I'll be rooting for you!

Hope you can overcome it! I'll be rooting for you! I had no idea that my poor circulation was the cause of my brittle nails! I mostly take hair skin and nail tablets which works wonders. Otherwise, putting a strengthening polish on all the time helps. re nail biting, it took until I had braces and my front teeth didn't physically touch for a year for me to break the habit. That's a bit extreme. I still bite occasionally, if I'm nervous or if one catches on something I start nibbling away. Your system seems like a good one. Rewards work wonders on a mentality.

Yeah, I think some people might think I bite my nails (I put them to my mouth in public) but what I do is actually just try to trim them if they break or if there's a hangnail. I find that limiting it to "maintenance" helps sometimes! Also, yeah, if there's no blood in your hands then there's nothing that makes them grow and be strong, right? It's a sad sad curse of the people with poor circulatory systems. But you're right, tablets and strengthening polish do wonders. It just means we have to keep better care of them than most people, but it's possible!

I have some nil art planned for this week, so we'll see how that goes.
When I remember to take my vitamins, then I also take ginkgo biloba to help my circulation too. I'm not sure if it helps but it doesn't hurt =]
