Okay guys, I think I am breathing my last here!! (Not really, but it's seriously starting to hurt now.)
Does anyone have at-home cough remedies, or can suggest a REALLY EFFECTIVE cough medicine? Preferrably non-drowsy, as I have to work a lot and school starts soon.
If I can...err...describe the cough, it's mostly dry but irritating, and it happens whenever I breathe in too deep-it's as if there's some sort of fluid or something at the bottom of my lungs. Also, it's been shortening my breath a lot. Feels similar to asthma (which I have, but not constantly like this cough is making it).
Any help, guys??

Chocolate can be good for a tickly cough. Or hot blackcurrent squash with honey and lemon.
Hope you feel better soon. =]

Thanks so much! I will try all of these things. I'm getting desperate, even my family and boyfriend have started to tell me to shut up! haha

I know that cough well. It's so irritating. You can also try putting a warm flannel on your chest, or filling a a bowl with very hot water and putting your face over it with a towel over your head and inhale the steam. Works well for a blocked nose but I think it's good for a dry cough too. You can add various oils to the water to make it smell nice and it works great as a facial too. =]
