I always think creative pet names are really cute, because it's like a little inside joke. =] So here's a thread for some not-common pet names.
My boyfriend's name is Nico, but sometimes I call him Nicolas. It started out where I'd call him that when I was pretending to be mad because it was like calling him by his full name, even though his full first name is just Nico. Now I call him that kind of often for some reason.
Anyway, now he's started calling me "Alyssalas" which I think is pretty cute. Other than that, we don't have any uncommon pet names really. We do call each other "love" which is uncommon in the US, but I know it's common in the UK.

I call mine Bunny and he calls me kitten.
Also used by me: my sexy bunny face, my sexy man boy, bunnyface, bunkin, hunnybunny.
Used by him: Anakin, Annieface, Annie, cupcake, turtledove, sugarplum, blueberry muffin, sweetest sweetpea.... etc. He basically used the most sickly sweet nicknames he can come up with to be funny.

Oh my goodness, you guys are too hilarious.
My boyfriend's name is Coulten so there isn't much I can do with that. I call him sweetie, sweetheart, love, and pumpkin when I want to be funny.
He calls me squash when I call him pumpkin, and he usually just calls me Vick cause he's not terribly fond of nicknames. Sometimes he says love or babe.

I'm horribly lacking in the pet name department. I usually use honey, dear, or love, and sometimes sweetheart or sugar. My boyfriend on the other hand, calls me a variety of things. I think it's just easier to think of pet names for girls, really.

Probably! Guys names are tough, because you don't want to make them sound like an infant, hahaha. Sometimes I say Coulty for Coulten. It's not much shorter but it's sweeter.

I'm not very romantic so I don't have a technical 'pet name'.
I do however call my boyfriend Chuckles sometimes for his extremely piercing laugh. x

Ladylightning, you do also always refer to him as being yours.
i.e. my [john] is at work, my [john] said this, my [john] went there etc etc
It's really rather cute
(I changed his name just in case you didn't want it known...)

Aw, that is really cute! Sometimes I'll think to myself "my Nico" but I don't call him that.
