Yeasties, oh yeasties, how I do detest thee... I personally get yeasties more or less frequently, every few months or so. They're the worst! I was actually just about to have one a couple weeks ago when I got my period, which somehow countered it( ) and then it went away after the period was over! Whoo! But unless I'm about to have my period, I usually have to deal with them and suffer. Blech. Do you guys have any specific stories or recommendations for them?I bought some Monistat the other day (idk if they have that in the UK, but it's basically an ovule you put in your vajay and an antifungal cream combo you apply to the outside) and I hope that the next time the yeastie comes a knocking, I can knock it the fuck out, cause seriously, that shit nasty.

I had the same thing this month! I thought I was getting one and then I got my period and then it went away.
I get very confused about yeast infections. On the one hand I think that I permanently have one and on the other I don't think that the irritation is that bad so I probably isn't one.
When my mum made me have a smear test a few years ago when I became sexually active they found I had thrush, and gave me the pessary that gets inserted, but at the time I was on my period and most of the thing came out with the blood so I'm not sure how much it actually treated.
I think that it should be more widely advertised that men also get thrush and can pass it back to us ladies even though we've been treated for it. I know that this is suppose to be 'rare' but I really think that it happens more often that medical people make out.

Wow, so it's not just me that has miracle periods! Haha.
Do you think you could explain what thrush is? I don't have a single clue. Just sounds like there's a tiny bird stuck up in your hoohah, and that's no good...

Haha! Thrush is just a yeast infection, like the most common one, so if you've had a YI then it was probably thrush. I don't know if that is just the English name for it?

Not sure! I guess it's just similar. Basically the worst though, ahaha. But now I'm prepared with this monistat, the next one to sneak up on me will get hit HARD
