My boyfriend and I will be having our 1 year anniversary at the beginning of October. Since we're in an LDR, he's going to be driving here to stay with me. I live with my family and we're both poor college students, so that really limits our options, haha. Does anyone have any ideas for what we can do to celebrate?

When I was in a LDR, it was really nice to spend some time outdoors. I think it's largely because in a LDR you are together inside...on your phone, your computer, etc. So going outside and enjoying some fresh air, having a picnic or going to a free museum, is really much more enjoyed than by an ordinary relationship. Maybe bake an anniversary cake together, then eat it outside!

I was actually thinking of a picnic too, but it'll be October, so I don't know how cold it'll be... Hopefully if it's not too chilly we could have a picnic or go to a pumpkin patch or something. =] Thanks!

Chilly picnics can be fun because you can bundle up and snuggle under a blanket. But yeah a pumpkin patch is awesome too! I've never been, personally, but I hear good things, haha. Another good thing might be to have a fake camp-out? Like pitch the tent in the back or front yard and make smores in the microwave or over a candle. I think that works a little better for cold weather cause you have shelter and stuff.

Aw, I would totally do that if I didn't live in a crappy apartment building without a yard. Maybe next time I go to his house. =]

You could even make a bonfire! It would be like being sat by the fireplace, all romantic and everything.
But then again, if I did that, I'd probably end up burning the neighbourhood down so not the best idea safety-wise!
